Procedures and Pricing 

Braille Hub USA performs all our braille transcription, printing and embossing on location. This allows us to guarantee your document’s security and ensure all of our final products meet the braille industry standards of quality and accuracy. We also can email you the digital files so that you may emboss at your location. 

 

Procedures: 

We receive and review your document (Word, Rich Text, PDF and Powerpoint formats are accepted). 

Our certified professionals transcribe the document into braille. 

A quality assurance check is done to assure that your document is accurate according to the rules and formats of Unified English Braille (UEB) and Nemeth within UEB. Our Tactiles are created under the Guidelines and Standards for Tactile Graphics. 

The document is then produced in-house on our braille embosser. 

We package and ship your braille document to you OR we email you the document so you can emboss at your location.

The rates on this sheet are for services provided by Braille Hub USA, directly to the client.

Documents are reviewed thoroughly prior to providing start date and turn-around time-frame. Each document is unique in regards to the time it takes to transcribe, format and emboss.  

 

 

 

RATES:

$21/hr. Literary

Training/Teaching: Duxbury (using Swift Template)  

$20 per hour (no minimum) 

Virtual Classes (1 on 1) - each lesson catered to clients’ needs. This program assists current transcriptionists to utilize Duxbury with the Swift template, increasing the transcribers accuracy and efficiency in braille production. 

$60 per hour (4-hour minimum) 

Onsite - we travel to you for 1 on 1 training (travel expenses may apply) 

 

Training/Teaching: Literary Certification & Nemeth within UEB  

$25 per hour (no minimum) 

Virtual Classes (1 on 1) - each lesson catered to clients’ needs. This program assists current transcriptionists to acquire their certification in a timely manner through Library of Congress. 

$60 per hour (4-hour minimum) 

Onsite - we travel to you for 1 on 1 training (travel expenses may apply) 

 

Training/Teaching: Tactile Graphics  

$25 per hour (no minimum) 

Virtual Classes (1 on 1) - each lesson catered to clients’ needs. This program assists current transcriptionists to efficiently learn the art of creating tactiles/graphics. 

$60 per hour (8-hour minimum) 

Onsite - we travel to you for 1 on 1 training (travel expenses may apply) 

 

 

 

 

Large Print Materials

$.75 per page (digital files)

BILLING PROCESS 

We email invoices at the end of each month. Terms are — Net 10 Days — from the date of the invoice. Past due invoices may carry a service charge of 1½% per month. 

 

 

GOVERNING LAW 

If you are in agreement with our pricing, a contract will be written up and signed. Both parties will receive a copy of this contract and Braille Hub USA and your institution will be in partnership until said contract is fulfilled.
