Procedures and Pricing

Braille Hub USA performs all our braille transcription, printing and embossing on location. This allows us to guarantee your document’s security and ensures that our final product meets the braille industry standards of quality and accuracy.

Procedures:

1. We receive and review your document (Word, Rich Text, PDF and Powerpoint formats are accepted).

2. Our certified professionals transcribe the document into braille.

3. A quality assurance check is done to verify that the transcribed document is accurate according to the Rules of Unified English Braille, Braille Formats Principles of Transcription and Nemeth Braille Code.

4. We package and ship your braille document to you OR we can email you the digital document so you can emboss it at your location.

BILLING PROCESS

Invoices are sent at the end of each month. Terms are — Net 14 Days — from the date of the invoice. Past due invoices may carry a service charge of 1½% per month.

Pricing:

Braille transcription prices vary according to the complexity of the document. 

Documents that include tables, charts or graphs are more complex while regular text documents are much simpler. 

The rates on this sheet are estimates only for services provided by Braille Hub USA, directly to the client. We quote per job as needed.

++ Since documents provided by client vary in size/how many pages, the breakdown “per document fee” is as follows:

K-grade 2: PDF/document greater than 50 pages are charged in increments of 50/document.

ie: print pages 1-50=1 document, print pages 51-100 = 2 documents, print pages 101-150 = 3 documents and so on.

grades 3-grade 12: PDF/document greater than 25 pages are charged in increments of 25/document

ie: print pages 1-25=1 document, print pages 26-50 = 2 documents, print pages 51-75 = 3 documents and so on.

*Braille documents exceeding 30 braille pages require an estimate for binding.
